14 London Road, Newark-on-Trent
An unusually tall Georgian house - by an extra storey - almost giving it an institutional air. The two lower floors have platbands - is the house of two builds? Late C18th. Grade II listed.

Beaumond Gardens, London Road, Newark, Notts.
A pavilion, a.k.a. changing rooms, toilets, linked (perhaps?) to the bowling green on the other side of the hedge. The grey, single storey building ahead is the main public library.

Beaumond Cross
A Scheduled Monument, although not in its original location. It was moved from the junction of Lombard Street and Carter Gate http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3118018 in 1974 to allow remodelling of the junction for modern traffic. Its origin is not known, but there is documentary evidence to suggest that it is a memorial to Viscount Beaumont who died at the battle of Towmont in 1461. It was repaired in 1778 and again in 1801. Listed Grade II.
