Building on the corner of the Market Place and Bridge Street
Dates from about 1730 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1297635 This building was for many years the centre of controversy as conservation officers felt that the sign boards were inappropriate. However they had been there for many years before the conservation officers expressed their opinion and the general public view was that they should stay. It took many years of argument before the issue was settled.
