Newark Castle Station, Newark, Notts.
Most of the main "downside" railway station building (opened in 1846) is currently in use as a restaurant although its bow-shaped end of it still houses a part-time ticket office. The Grade II-listed former station master's house in the foreground, dating from c.1860, currently houses a commercially run children's nursery.

Newark Castle Station
Newark on Trent has two stations; the principal one (Northgate) is on the East Coast Main Line; Castle station is a lesser affair on the other side of the River Trent with trains to Nottingham and Lincoln. The splendid building is no longer in railway use and is now a wine bar.
