Castlegate, Newark on Trent, Notts.
An interesting chimney on the roof of the two storey property that adjoins Nos. 1-3, Castlegate (i.e. The Castlegate Antiques Centre) featuring a side-ventilation aperture. Of course the chimney could equally be an integral feature of another property behind this road-facing property. It is difficult to tell. Nonetheless an interesting feature. This photo was taken from the entrance/exit of the yard in which the "Just Beer" micropub is situated.

The Corn Exchange
This Grade II Listed building in the Italian Baroque style was opened on 27th September 1848. In addition to housing the weekly corn market, the 1,500-capacity hall was used for lectures, exhibitions and musical entertainments. It continued to be used for trade by the local farmers, millers and maltsters until 1978. More recently it became a nightclub, but all seems quiet now.

Corn Exchange, Newark on Trent, Notts.
Probably the final autumn 2017 picture of the redundant Corn Exchange (seen from Stodman Street)? Honeybars Leisure Limited, based in Boston, Lincolnshire has applied for a new premises licence or club licence certificate. Most recently it was used as a nightclub.
