Station Street terminus in the first week of the trams
The trams were on their third day of operation when I took myself back home for a trip round old haunts on a dismal March day which reminded me of my childhood. A Hucknall tram is about to leave Station Street terminus, which is built on the arches which once carried the Great Central Railway (to London Marylebone) south from Weekday Cross, then on a girder bridge over the Midland Station (behind the camera) and through The Meadows. The spire of the former High Pavement Unitarian Chapel at Weekday Cross is in the distance to the left of the tram.

Two trams at Station Street
This is the current southern terminus. The Phase 2 extension to Clifton and Chilwell will take the line across Midland Station (behind the camera) on the alignment once used by the Great Central Railway south from Nottingham Victoria. A new tram/rail interchange will be built on the new viaduct over the station, superseding this stop.
