The former station building, Crow Park
Opened by the Great Northern Railway in 1882 and closed in 1958. The station was named Crow Park rather than the more obvious Sutton on Trent to avoid confusion with the many other Suttons.

Site of level crossing, Sutton-on-Trent
Here the Old Great North Road crossed the East Coast Main Line. The crossing keepers' building was a double cottage, presumably reflecting the importance of both road and railway. Now named The Old Station House, although this is strictly incorrect.

The Nags Head
Sadly derelict and the auction sign is nearly two years old. As a young boy I loved this place. My parents could go for a drink while I could watch the trains.

Former Nag's Head
Partly grade II listed former Nag's Head Inn on the Old Great North Road, after years of dereliction https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4352171 has been very nicely restored and developed in to four separate dwellings.

The Nag's Head
Partly grade II listed late 18th century inn which prospered beside the Old Great North Road and close to Sutton on Trent Railway Station. The Station closed in 1958 and the railway crossing was replaced by an overbridge, now the modern A1 bypasses Sutton on Trent completely and The Nag's Head has been empty and increasingly derelict for several years.
