North Road Sutton on Trent postbox (ref NG23 180), and bench mark
Standard GR wallbox with the earlier small cipher. 'North Road' is a contraction of Great North Road. The deep horizontal score in the lowest full course of bricks, just right of centre of the box, is the t-bar cut of a bench mark. The arrow has been lost with resurfacings of the footway. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4098824 for location.
