White Post Farm, Mansfield Road, Farnsfield
White Post Farm is both a working farm and a major visitor attraction in this area. As well as lots of animals to look at, there is a fast food area, a tea room, and a pet shop. The pets on offer include various reptiles, a tarantula and others but, thankfully, no puppies or kittens. There is of course an admission charge.
In the yard, which can be seen here, is a replica cow. On the left is Alphabet House day Nursery. The entrance to the farm is a littler further down Mansfield Road.

Rather unusually this postbox has been mounted to a tree trunk. It is outside the entrance to the car park of the White Post public house. It can also be seen in this photograph, just past the bus shelter on the right:- Image

The sign depicts a horse tethered to a post. This area seems to be called White Post, so presumably this gave rise to the pub's name.
