Aiming for the spire
Field footpath at Farnsfield, part of the Robin Hood Way. Now securely separated from the pastures on either side. The group of trees alongside the path were planted for the Millennium in 2000.

Gnarly beech bole
The trunk of a beech tree which has seen better days, as shown by the stubs of what had been large branches. The bark is much rougher than normal for a beech.
