Nottingham - NG1 (Upper Parliament Street)
Hurt's Yard - housing a cluster of small independent shops and enterprises - links Angel Street with Upper Parliament Street via a narrow alleyway (visible in the distance). Nottingham folklore suggests that a bygone era John Hurt owned premises in Upper Parliament Street and Angel Row, from which he sold alcohol, and that because having to manhandle barrels between the two sites - via a longer route - caused him a great deal of effort, he created the forerunner of this alley, running sharply downhill, to reduce his workload.

67 Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham
Nice Art-Deco tiled pub, dated 1928. This appears to have built out in front of an older building. 'Home Brewery's Ales' are advertised - long gone, this is now a bar called Foxy's.
