Very superior
This rather grand house is now a very superior Brasserie, with a very up-market cocktail bar and a restaurant which has exploited the interior décor to produce an opulent feel. I had a cup of tea.

Nottingham, NG1 - Maid Marian Way
This is a view along Maid Marian Way (the A6008) with a green bus waiting to turn left into Derby Road (A610) off a roundabout in the distance. From 2 July 2012, the office base of "The Nottingham Post" newspaper moved into a new suite of offices in the City Gate building on Toll House Hill after a 15 year period in Castle Wharf House, off Canal Street. The City Gate building is the seven storey building in the 2 o'clock position off the roundabout.

2 ? 12 Regent Street, Nottingham
6 terraced houses, now offices. c1854-58. By TC Hine of Nottingham. Restored late C20. Red brick, with painted ashlar dressings and slate roofs, Listed Grade II. Although contemporary with nos.14-24 by the same architect, Hine clearly chose to vary the design rather than create a long continuous terrace.

Jacobean gables on Regent Street
The terrace on the left, designed by T C Hine, was built in the 1850s and is Grade II listed. In the distance are some of the undistinguished blocks inflicted on the city in the 1960s. The city fathers thought Maid Marian Way looked like progress. Most Nottinghamians thought it looked awful.
