Market Square fountains

Tram replacement bus at Beastmarket Hill
Repairs to the track at Broad Marsh resulted in an all day closure of the tramway between the Old Market Square and Nottingham station. The link between the two was maintained by special buses, with trams providing normal service from the two temporary terminal points to the outer termini.

Market House, Beastmarket Hill, Nottingham
A slab-and-podium office block built in 1966 by the Lloyds Bank Architects' Department. All very crisp, though Pevsner calls it "weak".
The bank still has a presence here.

The Bank
Pub on Beastmarket Hill. Formally a bank I assume. Though I seem to remember that back in the 1970s there was a pub here called The Goose on the Square.
