Newdigate House, Castle Gate, Nottingham
One of the earliest surviving residential properties in central Nottingham, dating from around 1675 and Listed Grade II*. The listing includes the garden wall and railings. The French soldier Marshal Tallard was held prisoner after the Battle of Blenheim in 1704 http://www.nottshistory.org.uk/whatnall1928/newdigate_house.htm.
