Church Lane as it goes through Cossall is a very twisty road and the road works on it do not help traffic flow.

A section of the main street - Church Lane - that forms a T junction 1 mile ahead with Coronation Road (leading to Ilkeston) or Awsworth Lane (for Awsworth). There are no shops nor a pub in the village.

Willoughby Almshouses. Built in 1665 by George Willoughby
Judging by the very old lady with whom I exchanged "Good Mornings" as she was standing in her front garden, these lovely old buildings may still perform the same function intended by their builder.
