Caught & Bowled Micropub, Giltbrook
There is an astonishing number of micropubs along the road from Nuthall to Langley Mill including this cricket-themed establishment in Giltbrook occupying a former newsagent's shop. Perhaps it was the loss of the Hardys and Hanson brewery in Kimberley, whose products were ubiquitous in this area, that spurred the trend.

Giltbrook Retail Park
Although out of shot, this retail facitlty, just off the A610, is dominated by IKEA - and, indeed, signs direct motorists to 'IKEA'. On this side of the park several household names, including Boots and Next, have outlets.

Christmas sales at the Giltbrook shopping centre
The IKEA store at Giltbrook has attracted a large number of other shops. No parking spaces left on the Sunday after Christmas. Thank God I'm going for a walk!
