Brackenhill, Caythorpe
A small group of older and newer houses just off the Hoveringham Road. Not much of a hill, but you can see the slight rise of the ground up from the photographer position, and that odd metre of extra height would have kept the cottages above flood levels.

Footpath or bridleway?
Shown on the map as a bridleway, this section is signed at one end as a Public Footpath Image, but at the other as a bridleway http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1551446, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1551438. However, to get to where this picture was taken, you have to climb over a traditional wooden stile, from whichever direction you come.

Bridleway waymark
The waymark indicates the start - from this direction - of a short bridleway. The surfaced track in the foreground would be easy to use on horseback or by bicycle, but is only publicly accessible on foot. Image

Signs at Brackenhill
The signed bridleway is a bit of a puzzle, as other pictures help to show. This is the start of it, at Hoveringham Road, and it does indeed continue as a footpath, although at what point is not clear.
