At this point Cocker Beck, a very minor tributary of the Trent, runs behind cottages on Station Road.

The Railway Inn on the other side of Station Road is seen here from the mouth of Longmoor Avenue. The white painted building on the right with the bush extending halfway up its side is a small grocery store. 200 metres behind the photographer the Epperstone By-Pass (the A6097) runs from south-east to north-west beyond its closed end, it being a cul-de-sac.

A glance down Longmoor Avenue from its junction with Station Road. The Epperstone By-Pass (the A6097) runs from south-east to north-west at the cul-de-sac end of this unmade road. Behind the photographer, on the opposite side of the road, is The Railway Inn.

Cocker Beck, Lowdham
Recreating this 'First' for the square https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/213459 . A lot more growth of vegetation has occurred in the interim, and I wasn't sure if this was the correct location – there are a couple of other bridges over the beck – but the presence of the footbridge confirms that it is.
