The River Trent and the Ferry Boat Inn, Stoke Bardolph
Popular with both locals and visitors from further afield, the pub is built on the site of an old boatyard next to the river and the slipway for the old disused Bardolph ferry is still evident. The right bank slipway is heavily overgrown.

Ferry Boat Inn at Stoke Bardolph
There was a ferry service once upon a time but the only references to it that were found would indicate that it was a summer only service using a rowing boat and it was operated in the 1950s by a grumpy old man who lived in a caravan!
