The old 'chippy' and the Carnarvon reading rooms
Until about 1970 this house was a Fish & Chip shop. Now nicely re-developed and desirable; however, some folks in these parts do say that, at midnight every New Years Eve, a faint whiff still lingers on a still night. Oh well, the Pub is just across the road!

Now a training centre for the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, this former school on Main Street functioned as a 'junior school' between 1867-1960s.
