Probably inter-war, some of its pilasters with Deco detailing. Occupied by Gasworld, selling cooking and heating equipment. Taking this photo nearly resulted in a very nasty traffic incident.

An usually calm Saturday morning snapshot of the King Edward Street end of Lower Parliament Street looking towards Upper Parliament Street. The Central Methodist Church and various retail outlets seem deserted.

On Lower Parliament Street

37-41 Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham
Built as a wholesale fruit store by A.N. Bromley, 1900. Red brick and terracotta, all building up to a pedimented centre. The ground floor has suffered in conversion to retail use - Argos at the time of the photo. Looming behind is the Victoria Centre (Image]).
