22 Heathcoat Street, Nottingham
A pleasing composition, half-timbering, gables and oriels. I think this is the building of 1882 by W. & R. & F. Booker referred to in Pevsner.

People's Hall
The date 1854 on the panel belies that fact that this is an eighteenth century house. The date is when it was converted.

Morley House, Heathcoat Street, Nottingham
Georgian house, dated 1750, plain except for stone dressings and a fine doorcase. Jolly stepped voussoirs to the windows. The facade as a whole has been disfigured by the insertion of plate glass. Grade II* listed.
Built for Charles Morley, who made his money in pottery, converted into a temperance centre, the People's Hall, for George Gill in 1854.

Heathcoat Street, Hockley, Nottingham 1
With the A50 (a.k.a. Lower Parliament Street) 150 metres behind, this is the view as this road ascends towards Goosegate (ahead) with High Cross Street being the turning on the right. The tall building with arched 4th floor windows and a glimpse of a glazed light loft - behind the white painted building on Goosegate - is the Adams Building, a former lace finishing factory that is now occupied by Nottingham College.
