Orston church, old strongbox
The inscription shows that this was made specifically for the church, in 1820 when C Gordon was the vicar. The names of the two churchwardens are illegible due to incrustation.

Drum in St.Mary's church The inscription below reads THIS DRUM WAS USED AT THE BATTLE OF WATERLOO JUNE 18th 1815 and subsequently by the local village band at The Orston Friendly Society Club Feast This Feast was commenced with service in the church attended by the Officers and Members of the Orston Friendly Society and the Village Band
