Bingham Buttercross
Grade II listed, Neo-Gothic octagonal buttercross in Bingham Market Square, erected to the memory of the Earl of Chesterfield's agent John Hassall of Shelford Manor in 1861. Probably by architect T.C.Hine. The inscription around the eaves reads "This Market Cross has been re-built in affectionate remembrance of John Hassall of Shelford by his Friends and Neighbours. An.Dmi MDCCCLXI. To be beloved is better than All Bargains"
