The Peacock Inn, Redmile
Right at the north western end of the village this inn is very popular with walkers and even at the beginning of December the tables and chairs are available outside for their use. Not today, though; there was a cold wind blowing down Main Street.

The road ahead goes straight across country to the A52. The turn to the right is Church Corner and leads to a couple of cottages and the pub car park.
