'Goose Fair, Goose Fowl', Hoodwinked 2018, St. Peter's Square
'Hoodwinked: a twist on the tale' was a city-wide art project that ran from July 7th to September 30th, with 33 large plastic robins placed around the city on a walking trail. Each bird was decorated with a particular theme relating to where they were placed and the businesses sponsoring them. The theme of robins was chosen due to the city's famous connection with the legendary outlaw, Robin Hood. This bird was titled 'Goose Fair, Goose Fowl', was sponsored by Murphy and was designed by Cathy Simpson. It celebrated the Nottingham Goose Fair.

It's hard to imagine now that this was once the main bus route to Trent Bridge and West Bridgford. The Pearl Assurance building, straight ahead, was one of the first high-rise blocks built after the War.

It would seem that one of the contributors to Knowhere http://www.knowhere.co.uk/Nottingham/Nottinghamshire/Midlands/info/demolish hates this building, due to its having 'hexagonal windows.' I say, 'Look again!'
