Beyond the security gates is part of "The Mills Building". It appears to have been converted into residential apartments. The other buildings, e.g. the "Swann Building", in this cul-de-sac appear to have been industrial premises in the past, perhaps connected with the former lace-finishing work. It was not however, possible to ascertain how they are currently being used.

A view in the direction of its junctions with Barker Gate (on the right beyond the black-coated pedestrian), and further on, with Warser Gate. Apart from the prominent 'infill' feature (i.e. a multi-storey car park) on the left, this view reflects the general character of the former industrialised lace-finishing area still known as The Lace Market.
