A60, looking north from the old road access
The sweeping curve of the new A60 alignment takes through traffic away from the older alignment and its attendant houses. The roundabout sign is for the junction with the A52 Nottingham ring road.

Old Road crosses the new
The old pack horse road crosses the modern dual carriageway of the Nottingham Ring Road at this point. The railings are not a complete barrier but serve as protection particularly to equestrians by forcing a dog-leg path.

Track on Spinney Hill (3)
Here, the bridleway ascends from Landmere Lane to cross the A52 on the level. Descending this on foot was tricky in muddy conditions; I cannot imagine it would be any easier for a horse.

Bridleway crossing the A52
A very busy road with fast-moving traffic which was a challenge to cross safely on foot. I cannot see a horse rider ever wanting to risk this crossing.
