On the right a block of new apartments. On the left the Midland Wiper Company, known locally as the Rag Factory; they process old textiles to provide wiping cloths for industrial premises.
The building at the vanishing point is a hotel and Chinese restaurant on Derby Road.

Looking along Oxford Street from Fletcher Street, Long Eaton
The apartment bocks on the right appear to be an architectural pastiche of the town's mill architecture. The chimney is on Willat's Mill on Regent Street and is one of at least four that were to be found in a small area in 2011.
