Junk Shop Wall Signs
The sign for the shop itself (see Image]) is largely covered by the For Sale sign, but above is an interesting one for an plumbers and ironmongers once 50 yards away.

Junk Shop
I've no doubt the owners would not call this a junk shop but that's the description that springs to my mind. Having received the contents of many Long Eaton house clearances over the years it now faces a clearance itself. The building has been for sale for some time, but previous signs said that the business was unaffected; it now says business included. Nice name!

Skeleton Theatre Emerges from the Ashes
Here stood a church building which had been converted to a local theatre. It was gutted by fire in late 2004. A fund was created to rebuild it appropriately called The Phoenix Fund. In 2006 it had raised enough money to start the construction, then the funds ran-out and building stopped leaving this steel frame. The amateur groups which had performed here continue to utilise the facilities at Trent College http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1047761. Update Sept 2010: Eventually the gap in the middle of the remaining building was filled with something more modest http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2086420 .

New gable
It looks like the plans for a replacement theatre Image have been abandoned, the work that started earlier in the year Image now appears to be just tidying up the remaining building.
