St Chad's Church, Bensham
On Rawlings Road, in the Bensham area of the town, for which it is the parish church. Built in 1900-3, designed by W S Hicks, it is in an opulent Art & Crafts movement Gothic style. The area in front is in the middle of a housing redevelopment, with some of the old terraced streets having been demolished.

Church of St Chad, Rawling Road, Bensham
It was designed by W.S. Hicks in 1903 in the Gothic style and opened in 1903 to serve the inhabitants of the many rows of new terraces that were being built in Bensham and Saltwell.

Buses on Satlwell Road, Gatrshead
View looking north towards the junction with Lobley Hill Road. There are a lot of services which use this route, particularly the green bus, which is the No 54, Saltwell Park Circular. This runs every 10 minutes or so.
