Romulus Terrace, Gateshead
At the junction of Coatsworth Road with Bensham Road. A survivor of the many small shops and pubs which once ran down Bensham Bank. Most have now gone, but this small row of shops with the Crown pub survive.

18th Century Houses Newcastle upon Tyne
There were a number of 18th C houses behind the Quayside. The best known of which was Bessie Surtees House. This shows the back of one of the houses. The south side of the Tyne bridge is in the background.
