View towards The Red Lion, just out of sight behind the tree, there is a cafe. The A697 was very quiet today. This made it a good day to visit as this can be a busy road.

The Red Lion Inn. Main Street. Milfield
According to the Red Lion info, The building dates from the mid 1700's and was a rest point for the stagecoaches carrying passengers and mail from Edinburgh to London. If you are into golf it also states there are more than 20 golf courses within 25 miles
