Terrace of cottages at North Charlton
A terraced row of cottages at North Charlton. Obviously originally built to house farm workers and their families. The farm steading on the opposite side of the road has now been converted into houses so I doubt many (probably not any) farm workers still live here. The settlement's post box can be seen in the wall on the right of the photo.

Minor road at North Charlton
A minor road serving a couple of houses at North Charlton. Prior to the adjacent dual carriageway bypass opening in the early 1990s this, now minor, road carried the A1. The small settlements public telephone box can be seen by the house on the right of the photo.
