Red-legged Partridge egg
I found this (cold) egg lying on the little-used footpath between Old Bewick Church and Bewick Folly. My identification is circumstantial - it was smaller than a Pheasant egg (with which I'm familiar) and I saw several Red-legged Partridges in the area.
