Millennium oaks
To celebrate the millennium Glanton planted a new avenue of oak trees leading from the village towards the A697 road.

Shop fronts in Glanton
Two shop fronts occupy a prominent position in the centre of Glanton village. To the right, the board announces "JM Johnston Ironmongers and Plumbers", but in reality the business is operating as a post office, newsagents, a very small tea room and provider of office services.
