Alnwick Baptist Church, Lisburn Street
This does not look obviously to be a church building although there is a sign hanging on the corner Image It dates from c.1840 and is grade 2 listed (list entry 1041454). The original entrance has been blocked up - the minister's podium is now behind it - and the present entrance is through a porch to the left of the building.

Valve marker stone, Lisburn Street, Alnwick
I have not see this way of marking the location of water valves before:
carved into a stone in the wall of a house. The legend is "SV 8½ ft H 12½ ft N" which I interpret as "stop valve 8½ feet and hydrant 12½ feet to the north". Image gives the context.
