Fireplace, at the Hermitage, Warkworth
Love the marks on this old fireplace that show the flood lines from the River Coquet floods over the last 100+ years or so. Fabulous moss etc but rather smelly

Ferry across the Croquet
The little boat takes visitors across to Warkworth Hermitage where St. Henry built a hermit's cell in Norman times and tilled the ground for barley, made it into flour for his bread which he ate on three days a week as his only food. After three years of silence, people resorted to him for counsel and blessing.
