Your More Store branding, Brinkburn Street, Byker
A close up of the branding of Your More Store, a discount retail chain which once occupied a shop in the Shields Road Shopping area. The slogan of the chain was "More Lower Prices Than Ever Before". The business went into administration and closed down in 2003 so the shop has been empty for at least 13 years.

Your More Store window, Brinkburn Street, Byker
One of the windows of an unoccupied retail unit in Byker. The branding belongs to Your More Store, a former chain of discount shops which sold a similar mix of products to Poundstretcher. Unusually the branding still survives in the windows of the building 13 years after the business went into administration and closed.

This station joined the network on 14 November 1982, following the opening of the fourth phase of the network, between Tynemouth and St James via Wallsend.
