Appleby House
This old brick terrace is in Castle Square in Morpeth, on the south side of the river. It is early 19th century and was once the home of Alfred Appleby, a former mayor, hence the name.

Entrance to the William Turner Garden
In Caslisle Park Morpeth. This garden was opened in 1999. It commemorates the 16th century writer William Turner who was born and educated in Morpeth. He is called the father of English botany and was on of the first to list and name plants and flowers in a scientific manner.

Inside the William Turner Garden
This is in Crlisle Park in Morpeth. He was a 16th century herbalist and botanist who wrote one of the first books on English plant life and is known as the father of English botany. Many of his latin names are still in use. The garden is copied from those of Turner's time.
