Whorlton Grange
The Grade II Listed Whorlton Grange was built in the mid 19th century as a model farm and planned range of farm buildings by John Green for the Duke of Northumberland. The farm was formed by amalgamation of land and consequently had no farmhouse. There is a rear engine house with tall square chimney and a single-storey stable which forms part of the right wing. It was subsequently converted to offices and workshops, and is now a Residential Care Home for the Elderly.
