A1 Newcastle Western Bypass
Looking towards the junction with the A167/B6324 Stamfordham Road.
Work started in March 2020 to widen the main carriageway to three lanes between Scotswood and North Brunton. The lighting columns have been removed from the central reservation and protective barriers installed in advance of the existing central reservation being removed and replaced by a narrower concrete barrier.
