Newcastle Bookshop, Haltwhistle
The shop was closed but has 2 covered windowbox type contraption in front full of books, and a note in the window saying if you want a book, put the money through the door - we bought a book from the 1950's on wood burning stoves for 50p

The (former) blacksmith's forge, Market Place
I am very grateful to Derek Robinson, who worked at this forge as a blacksmith farrier in the early 1950s, that the 8ft diameter iron disc in the foreground was used for putting the iron hoops on cart wheels; the wheel hub went into the centre of the plate.
