George VI postbox at the Dipton Mill Inn
This is a "lamp" box and would usually be positioned on top of a short post or clamped to the side of a tall post such as a telegraph pole; here it has been built into the wall of the pub. The location of this postbox is shown in Image and Image The NY9260/61 gridline runs right through the pub; I've put all of my photos related to the pub into NY9261.

Dipton Mill Inn
Diptonmill Inn was,in June 2009, named as "Best for Pub Grub" in the Guardians Guide to Summer Pubs.
Alastair Gilmour wrote, "The only remaining drovers inn in Hexamshire, surrounded by woodland in the midst of rambler-friendly countryside. You'll find humble, home cooked food that you can enjoy beside the stream in the sunken beer garden out back.
