Wylam bridge and signal box
Wylam bridge, showing the railway signal box from the north side of the river Tyne. The bridge is currently under threat of demolition. This will cut the village in two and also take away part of a popular walking route.

A great little pub that has been a CAMRA pub of the year for Northumberland many times - a beer festival was going on today, all locally produced beers. A pint of Matfern Magic, and then a pint of Allendale Beacon Fire (with added chilli) made the walk from Prudhoe well worth while
