Houses on what was Blackberry Hills
These houses may have great coastal views but over 30 years ago I viewed the building of these houses as a great act of vandalism. Blackberry Hills were a child's paradise where we had great games of cowboys and indians riding through the valleys and over the hills capturing robbers and killing indians. I always tried to be the Range Rider.

Near the end of the Great North Run 2015 at The Leas, South Shields
A lovely, in fact amazing finish area. The Red Arrows tear across the sky, even their sound lost under the barrage of support from the crowds.

Beach Road, South Shields
Long after Sir Mo Farah and the serious runners had finished the Great North Run the tailenders were caught in monsoon rain
It flooded many roads and the Metro resulting in participants being trapped in South Shields for 3 hours or more.
