Bus station and car park, Jarrow
An empty car park and the small bus station served by local bus services close to the centre of Jarrow. On the other side of the bus station is a branch of Home Bargains.

Railway line & footbridge near Jarrow Metro Station
Jarrow Metro Station is situated on a single line section, but has a long passing loop for Metro services and therefore two platforms. On the north side of the station is a single-track Network Rail freight line, now used only by oil trains to the Jarrow oil terminal, but when the Metro first opened there was a small yard here with private sidings going off.

Palmers Cenotaph
Palmers Cenotaph in Clayton Street Jarrow (adjacent Palmers Hospital)
Roll of Honour 1914-1919
Erected by the Directors and Shareholders of Palmers Shipbuilding & Iron Company Limited. To record their appreciation of the patriotism of 1,543 men from the Jarrow and Hebburn Works in joining his Majesty's Forces for service in the Great War 1914 – 1919.
And in grateful and honoured memory of those who made the great sacrifice for their Country. And whose names are inscribed on this monument.
“So they gave their bodies to the Commonwealth. and received each for his memory, praise that will never die. And with it the noblest sepulchre - Not the spot where their bones are laid, but a place in the minds of men"

Palmers Cenotaph and Community Hospital in Jarrow
Palmers Cenotaph at the Junction of Clayton Street and Station Street in Jarrow.
To the right on the picture Palmer Community Hospital.
And to the left the old staff building that used to be part of the old Palmers Memorial Hospital which was demolished in the early 1980s
