Matthew Bank, South Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
Looking up Matthew Bank in South Gosforth. A variable message sign alerts passing road users to the government's message which was being promoted during the 'Lockdown' phase of their response to the COVID-19 pandemic which struck the country in the early part of 2020. The message on the sign reads "Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives." While only essential was permitted during the period the population were permitted to leave their homes for the purposes of exercise.
