Closed 1990 and demolished about 1992. The pushing side of the battery with a push in progress. This was an officially arranged visit en route to Scotland.

Originally operated by National Smokeless Fuels who latterly became Coal Products Ltd. Closed 1990 and demolished about 1992. Gone without trace.

Steam driven compressor at Monkton Coking Works
Built 1956 by Belliss and Morcom in Birmingham. V type steam engine coupled to reciprocating gas compressor, also by Belliss. Workable until 1990 and scrapped about 1992.
