Post Box, St. George's Road, Cullercoats
This post box dates from the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and stands in front of a small parade of shops. The Royal Mail is a key partner in the Government's Coronavirus testing programme and collect completed testing kits from over 35,000 specially selected post boxes of which this is one (see stickers attached to the box). Post Box, Seacrest Avenue, Cullercoats
This box, which stands on the corner of Seacrest Avenue and Sandhurst Avenue, dates from the reign of King George VI (1936-1952) and can be distinguished from post boxes dating from the reign of King George V (1910-1936) by the more ornate cipher and the inclusion of the Roman Numeral VI.

Shop, Joanne Wishart (Artist), St. Georges Road, Cullercoats
Born in Berwick upon Tweed, Joanne Wishart grew up in the Northumbrian countryside, and, in 2000, gained a degree in Printed Textile Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. She began her career as a freelance designer creating Hawaiian shirt print designs for the USA market. In 2006, together with her husband, she set up a self publishing art, print and greetings card company, and, in 2009, she won a female entrepreneur award for the North East of England's, Best Creative Business.
