The Villa, The Green, Wallsend
Built in about 1857, this brick and stone built two storey detached house was for several decades the home of the Duffy family. A builder by trade, and owner of a local brickworks, Joseph Duffy built many of the terraced streets in Wallsend. He died in office as Mayor of Wallsend in 1910, and he is commemorated by the re-erected Duffy Memorial Fountain in Richardson Dees Park. Jasmine House, The Green, Wallsend
Built in the mid to late 18th century this attractive two storey house, which was once the village schoolmaster's house, is a Grade II Listed building.
